Founded in London in 2004 by Simon Mottram, Rapha began with a simple ambition: create cycling kit that combined pro-level performance with thoughtful, enduring design. Their first release—the iconic Sportwool™ Classic Jersey, finished in black with a single white stripe—reimagined what cycling apparel could look and feel like 

That early drop launched with a month‑long exhibition at Truman Brewery and set the tone for Rapha’s aesthetic: understated, purposeful, and rooted in cycling’s golden era. Since then, they've grown beyond clothing—opening Clubhouses in global cities, building a vibrant community through club rides and events, and launching initiatives such as the Rapha Foundation.

Today, Rapha remains synonymous with clean lines, fabric innovation, and a confident approach to performance and each collection reflects their mission to “make cycling the most popular sport in the world”
